We are so excited that you have taken an interest in CDIS—the school we lovingly refer to as the “Heart of the City.” CDIS is the oldest international school in Chengdu, having operated for over twenty years. We are not only located in the heart of the city, but in all we do, we keep our students, their families, and our staff first in own hearts, providing a rigorous educational program built upon academic excellence in a caring emotional and social setting.

At CDIS, we work hard to prepare our students for the world beyond K-12 academics as young men and women of integrity and character. Our teachers craft lessons and daily learning around our learning objectives to Learn, Love, and Lead. Daily lessons focus on global competencies such as curiosity, discernment, humility, and purpose, to name a few.

Chengdu International School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and remains a long-standing member of ACAMIS (Association of China and Mongolia International Schools)). CDIS is also a member of CISA (Chengdu International Schools Association) and is one of seven schools in the International Schools Consortium (iSC), a system of quality international schools across China and the UAE. As part of these organizations, our students have the opportunity to compete and collaborate with other schools in athletic competitions, academic events, and fine arts activities across Chengdu and all of greater China. In addition, our staff benefit from continual professional development and collaborative curricular support in order to stay abreast of educational trends and innovative teaching methodology.
